Black Friday Survival Guide – 10 Ways to Avoid Overspending on the Biggest Shopping Day of the Year
The Christmas lights are going up, the temperatures are dropping, and Black Friday is right around the corner. Be prepared for the biggest shopping day of the year by using these 10 tips to avoid overspending. Your budget will thank you.
Here are some other helpful tips as you prepare to save money and shop smart:
- Wear good shoes. You could be in long lines for extended periods of time. Do your back a favor and wear comfortable, supportive shoes.
- Bring snacks! Black Friday shopping can be an all-day affair, and requires a lot of energy – especially since many stores open during the middle of the night. Bring your own healthy snacks to avoid purchasing overpriced food and drinks – make turkey sandwiches from Thanksgiving leftovers and bring a water bottle to refill and keep you hydrated and refill throughout the day.
- Wear layers. If you are going to be at stores when they open, take note of morning temperatures and pack to be prepared. Keep extra jackets, gloves, and hats in the car.
